Greetings – For today we:
* The UserVoice integration authorization is now done in a popup window. This fixes an issue that was preventing the authorization if the user wasn’t already logged in to UserVoice.
Hello everyone! Today we have a few things to mention:
* Improved UserVoice integration, splits long transcripts in multiple messages so that no information is lost.
* Mobile enhanced chat is no longer considered “Beta”.
* Mobile enabled chat box is now on by default for new Widgets.
* Mobile chat button now uses the same position settings as desktop version.
Today we are excited to offer a new, improved, and more powerful SnapEngage and Desk.com integration! Desk.com recently notified us that they were releasing a new API that had more capabilities than you could shake a stick at (although one should never shake a stick, especially if there is a nest of angry wasps attached to it). The great news is that we have completed the update to our integration thanks to the new API from Desk, the not so great news is that the old version of the API will no longer function in the coming months so you will want to make sure you complete the migration soon. Greetings all – Updates today include:
* Improvements to our onboarding process so that our web client intro video is shown to more agents and our getting started flow in the Configurator is more streamlined (and will soon also include a video).
We occasionally hear requests for this feature, “Site Monitoring,” which allows you to view all of your website visitors in real time for the purpose of manually extending chat invitations one by one.
We decided that the time had come to document our official stance on the matter.
It is not surprising that Site Monitoring seems attractive at first glance, but if you give us a moment of your time, we think you’ll see how and why SnapEngage’s “Proactive Chat” feature trumps the supposed advantages of Site Monitoring by a wide margin.
